SAMOS (RS 1/5 UD42a - FuMB4) |
|
The SAMOS superheterodyne receiver was used to detect enemy radar beams and find their location. It was used primarily for maritime service on U-boats and large battleships such as the Bismarck and the Prince Eugen. The most frequent use was on U-boats, since the detection of enemy radar predicted an eminent attack, allowing the U-boat to dive and take evasive action. |
