New Transceiver - Galaxy V Mk3

The Galaxy V series of transceivers were developed and sold in 1968. The Mk3 version of this transceiver has an amazing power output of 500 Watts PEP. This can be considered the 1960s "muscle-car" transceiver. Its features a unique 1960's interface design, along with an elegantly designed interior. This transceiver came with it's external VFO, VOX module, power supply and speaker.

Entering the hobby of collecting and restoring WWII military communications equipment naturally drew me to the Amateur Radio hobby as well. On April 29th, 2006 I passed my Technician exam and got my call letters KI6DUA. My next steps were to get radio equipment which allowed me to use the frequency ranges that my license level allowed.

On January 8th 2008, I passed my General Test
